Nonetheless, he comes to a large room with many doors in it. Each of the doors can be unlocked with a key. A few doors are already open. The man looks at the multitude of doors and reads the signs on them. Some of the doors are very attractive and adorned with very nice wood carvings and shiny brass knobs. Some of them hold no interest for him. But unfortunately, a few of the more attractive doors require keys. The keys that he did not pick up would have opened those more attractive ornate doors.
What's the meaning of this story? Well...
The keys are representative of opportunities that lay before you.
The room is representative of a cusp (where you have to make a choice) in your life.
The doors are representative of your goals or rewards for what you have already done.If you do not grab the opportunities afforded to you as you travel through life, you will not be able to unlock the door to your goal or reward.
Get good grades NOW!! So that more doors remain open for you in terms of a scholarship or entrance to college.Advance in rank NOW!! So that you can finish your Eagle requirements before life throws unavoidable roadblocks in your path.
Exercise NOW!! So that you will have a better opportunity to make the team next season.Pick up the keys NOW!! So that you can open the doors of life when you want or need to, or have to make a choice.
